Tea House
The building, which was completed in October 2003, is situated in the
"Jardim da Senhora" or Lady's Garden, overlooking the Palheiro golf course. The
Tea House doubles as a halfway house for golfers, who are served from
the south side. Trees in this area include the magnificent Candelabra
tree from Brazil, a fine endemic "Til or Madeira Laurel, a huge
Metrosideros and several spectacular Eucalyptus ficifolia giving bright
orange flowers in summer. As the Garden is open unti 4.30pm week days,
the Tea House serves soup, sandwiches, salads, snacks and hot and cold
drinks.
